New Orleans Morgan silver dollars are very popular among our customers for their relative value in relation to scarcity. This early O-mint issue is a good value at our lowest price level, but now we’ve reduced the price by $10. Minted well over a century ago at the venerable New Orleans Mint, this vintage issue was among the first in the series, when this famous silver dollar had its optimum buying power. “Most Affordable” 1899-O Morgan Silver Dollar --
This New Orleans Mint issue costs the least of 1899 Morgans today, yet it’s still relatively scarce. A much larger supply of some early O-Mint Morgan dates survive. A 90% silver Morgan had big purchasing power around the turn of the century when many Americans still earned only a dollar for a long day’s labor. Our clearly detailed Very Fine quality passed through commerce well over a hundred years ago.
