1888-1890-P U.S. Morgan Silver Dollars Very Fine |
The principal Philadelphia Mint’s Morgan dollar mintages reached their peak in the late 1880’s, but vast numbers were held in reserve by the Treasury and the great majority lost in government melts during the world wars. The 1890 Philadelphia output dropped considerably and today this issue is the scarcest of the three in the nicely detailed Very Fine quality we offer. 38.1mm
