This was one of the last U.S. mint sets to contain 40% silver Kennedy half dollars before the transition to copper-nickel coins. It contains perfect Brilliant Uncirculated “P”, “D” and “S” pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and half dollars. To protect their pristine beauty, the hand-selected BU coins are enclosed in transparent plastic holders. This set boasts twice the coins of the U.S. proof sets for the date, has a lower mintage and cost less.
