Originally struck in the last year of Maria Theresa's reign over the Austrian Empire, this big silver coin was a splendid part of the age of Haydn and Mozart in Vienna. Since 1920, it's been occasionally restruck by the Vienna Mint for use as a circulation silver dollar in areas such as Africa and the Middle East. Sumptuously detailed portrait of the empress and the double-headed Hapsburg eagle. Brilliant Uncirculated.
