This large 35mm crown-size coin, the seventh in the very popular Birds of Canada series, presents a full-color rendering of a cinnamon-throated, brilliant blue Barn Swallow feeding its young nestlings. The most widespread species of swallow in the world, it’s found throughout Canada and the United States. The Brilliant Uncirculated nickel-plated steel coin features the Royal Canadian Mint’s proprietary colorization technology, in which color is actually sealed onto the coin. A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse. Includes a deluxe presentation case and numbered certificate. Mintage is limited to a low 14,000. Two other issues in the series with mintages as low also sold out quickly at the mint.Nickel-plated steel
