This doubly dramatic oversize note combines an engraving of Columbus and crew discovering America with a beautifully matched tribute to the 1620 Pilgrim landing on Plymouth rock – the first permanent English settlement. The obverse displays the familiar Lincoln portrait in a larger size. Seals and borders differ from later $5 bills. Large notes of this type are affectionately known as “horseblankets.” Our Very Good quality retains clear designs. It circulated for a time in U.S. commerce when a $5 bill had a lot of purchasing power. Oversize 7 1/4 x 3" dimensions
