The short-lived Eisenhower dollar restored the traditional 38mm size for U.S. dollar coins. But only 6% were struck in 40% silver and originally sold directly to collectors and dealers (those issued for commerce were copper-nickel). Only the San Francisco Mint produced silver Ike dollars, in both BU and proof form (the BU mintages were considerably less, as low as 1.9 million for these dates). Our 3-coin set includes the 1972-S, 1973-S & 1974-S 40% silver issues in Brilliant Uncirculated quality.
