“Most Prized” U.S. 5-Coin 1995 Proof Set
The highly sought-after 1995 U.S. proof set is the most prized in the 1959-1998 span –- now take advantage of a sale price. Today it is much scarcer in the marketplace than its 2.0 mintage suggests, although that output was the lowest in 35 years. The 1995 set is regarded as the key scarcity for 5-coin U.S. proof sets since 1958, when just 875,652 were issued. The transparent case shows both sides and protects the exquisite beauty of the proof coins.
Relatively Scarce 5-Coin 1997 U.S. Proof Set
In 1997, the U.S. Mint issued just 1,975,000 proof sets. That year proved to be the second-lowest regular proof set production in four decades and just 47% of the peak 4.1 million mintage of 1976. Included are superlative proofs of the date’s cent, nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar (circulation mintages were up to a thousand times higher). The transparent plastic case protects the exquisite beauty of each proof coin.
