US 2000-P Sacagawea MS-67 & 1944-S Washington MS-66 |
U.S. 2000 Sacagawea Dollar, Certified MS-67 -- An MS-67 coin is in the truly spectacular range of fiery luster and near-perfect surfaces. Coins of this quality were among the very first to be struck by fresh dies. This first year 2000 Philadelphia issue may be the most beautiful Sacagawea dollar you’ve ever seen. The compact dollar promised to revive the $1 coin in commerce but the public never embraced it. Mintages drastically dropped after the first few years and its use in commerce virtually ceased. Recently the U.S. Mint has only issued Sacagawea dollars in limited-mintage collector editions.
U.S. 1944-S Washington Quarter, Certified MS-66 -- The first issue was intended as a commemorative of Washington’s 200th birthday. It proved so popular with the American public that it inspired the regular series that continues in a revised form today. Our extraordinary gorgeous “Super-Gem” MS-66 quality may have been one of the first struck with fresh dies over six decades ago during World War II. Many of these early 90% silver quarters have been lost to melts over the years. A protective plastic case with grade certification protects and displays this impressive vintage treasure.
