U.S. 2000 Sacagawea Dollar, Certified MS-67 |
|
An MS-67 coin is in the truly spectacular range of fiery luster and near-perfect surfaces. Coins of this quality were among the very first to be struck by fresh dies. This first year 2000 Philadelphia issue may be the most beautiful Sacagawea dollar you’ve ever seen. The compact dollar promised to revive the $1 coin in commerce but the public never embraced it. Mintages drastically dropped after the first few years and its use in commerce virtually ceased. Recently the U.S. Mint has only issued Sacagawea dollars in limited-mintage collector editions.
