U.S. 2010 P & D JFK Half Dollars & Native American Dollars Brilliant Uncirculated |
FOUR COIN SET! The U.S. Mint has not produced the Kennedy half dollar for circulation since 2002. The popular coin has only been minted in limited numbers for sale directly to collectors. Current Brilliant Uncirculated Kennedy half dollar mintages have fallen to just a tiny fraction of previous outputs. In 2008 just 1.7 million were issued respectively by the Philadelphia (“P” mintmark) and Denver (“D”) facilities, compared to an average of 215 million in 1964 and 21 million in 2000. Our set includes both 2010 “P” and “D” Brilliant Uncirculated issues.
The U.S. Mint began a new dollar coin series in 2009 celebrating the contributions of Native Americans to the history of the United States. Each year a unique reverse design will grace the Sacagawea dollar. This second year features the theme of government, honoring the Native American practices of equality and democracy. Shown is the Hiawatha Belt, wrapped around five arrows. The belt is the visual record of the peace agreement of the five nations of the Iroquois Confederacy. Our set includes both the Philadelphia and Denver issues in Brilliant Uncirculated quality. 30.6mm & 26.5mm
