The largest U.S. silver dollar type ever — no previous U.S. coin has contained so much silver!
Most silver eagle collectors own the regular BU issues, whose mintages tended to be fairly substantial. But the most beautiful and coveted form of U.S. silver eagles are the spectacularly minted proofs. This magnificently gorgeous 2010 proof issue had a mintage of just 273,312, less than 1% of that year’s Brilliant Uncirculated output. And it’s incomparably more stunning, with deep-etched frosted engravings and dazzling mirror backgrounds. Clad in the Stars and Stripes, Liberty confidently strides into the dawn of a new era. On the reverse is a unique rendering of the Presidential Seal, with an eagle holding a peace branch and arrows of preparedness below 13 stars representing the original states.
