The U.S. Mint’s “America the Beautiful” quarter program honors national parks and sites. The first year of 2010 honored Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas, Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, Yosemite National Park in California, Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona and Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon.
In 2011, Gettysburg National Military Park, Glacier National Park, Olympic National Park, Vicksburg National Military Park and Chickasaw National Recreation Area were honored. For both sets we’ll include all five issues and one extra, to show the obverse design, in a sturdy and colorful display case.
