perfect starting point for Franklin series starter as well as beginner |
| This particular set has both investment and sentimental value for me esp. Because it is where my gun safe of trophys began at the time as a novice I was skeptical about spending that much money on 5 coins. But after filling a complete Franklin album and countless others, I now know that I got a huge bargain having a 1st & last yr coin really inspired me to fill the in between. I also got some of the key dates that couldve cost me as much as the whole set, had I purchased it single. I really encourage any esp beginners looking to start in the hobby and also veterans who arent that intrigued by the Franks to give it a shot, starting with this set, as I did. Its one of the shortest lived series, so filling an album can be done without emptying your wallet. You might be amazed at how these coins will grow on you, not to mention that satisfied feeling you get oncr you place that last coin in the slot, and pride yourself on a job well done! P.S I found it very helpful befriending my local coin shop owner be sure any dealer is certified in A.M.A/N.G.C and ethical before dealing with them he really helped and taught me alot, first thing I did make with my set is showed him, asked if he thought I got a good buy, he then tallied the difference between what he could have sold me the exact coins for. His price was $100 more, he chuckled and confirmed I had got a good buy thats ethical he then asked me if I had an extra ICC catalog. He had never heard of them. But now he reads them more than me. |
