Struck for only three years, this petite “Indian Princess Small Head” had the shortest minting span of any regular U.S. gold coin. A personification of Liberty, the Indian Princess wears a feathered headdress. The antebellum reverse joins wheat and corn of the North with cotton and tobacco of the South. Our Extra Fine quality retains virtually all the details of these exquisitely rendered engravings. It’s easily the scarcest of the three U.S. gold dollar types. Our choice of date. 15 mm.
