Struck from “bonanza” silver mined at such legendary sites as Tombstone and the Comstock Lode, this issue emerged from the old San Francisco Mint, greatly admired for possessing state-of-the-art equipment. It is often considered the most beautifully minted in the entire series. Large quantities of the issue were not released into commerce, but stored by the U.S. Treasury. Our hand-selected nicely-preserved Very Fine specimens retain a rich amount of detailing.
