Just a fraction of all mint-state Morgan silver dollars survive in connoisseur MS-64 quality, with extraordinarily deep luster and only trifling surface flaws. This 1884-O New Orleans Mint issue is one of the most affordable in such stunning “near-gem” quality. New Orleans Morgan silver dollars are very popular for their value in relation to scarcity. Although the 1884-O issue was struck by the historic New Orleans Mint in the heyday of the series, a comparatively small proportion remain today in mint-state quality. And only one 1884-O “Choice MS-64” specimen exists for every six regular BUs. Each coin is certified by the PCGS or NGC and will come “slabbed” in a transparent protective case.
Certified coins should never be removed from their cases and cannot be returned once removed.
