In our nicely detailed Very Fine quality, this issue is the most affordable of early 1890s Morgans - from the "rare decade" of the series. It hails from the year of the Sherman Silver Purchase Act, when silver was reinforced as a mainstay of the U.S. economy. But that legislation was soon revoked during a financial crisis, which led to the 1893-1895 lowest mintages of the series. As a principal mint issue, it carried no mintmark.
