Generally speaking, a lot more circulated Morgan silver dollars survive today than mint-state grades. One exception to the rule is the 1900-S Morgan dollar. The turn-of-the-century San Francisco Mint issue, with a mintage of just 3.5 millon, is remarkably scarce in circulated quality. Our regular price for average BU quality is $750 and Extra Fine sells for $99. We rarely offer the 1900-S Morgan in any grade lower than XF but we've found a limited number of Very Fine specimens for this offer. The "S" mintmark appears below the eagle and wreath.
