U.S. Morgan Silver Dollar 1903-P Extra Fine |
|
The principal Philadelphia Mint’s Morgan silver dollar output in the early years of the 20th century was vastly lower than that of the peak 1880s. In fact, the top late-1880s production was almost five times higher than the 1903 Philadelphia mintage of 4.6 million. The 1903-O (New Orleans) and 1903-S (San Francisco) issues sell for several hundred dollars each in XF quality. That puts added pressure on the limited number of 1903 no-mintmark Philadelphia Morgans available in this lightly circulated Extra Fine quality.
