U.S. Morgan Silver Dollar 1904-P Brilliant Uncirculated |
The minting of Morgan dollars was suspended after 1904 (and not resumed until the final issues of 1921). Only 2.8 million were struck for circulation in 1904 by the principal (no-mintmark) Philadelphia facility. And today a silver dollar encyclopedia estimates that as few as 80,000 may exist in mint-state quality. That’s just one for every 15 of the 1904-O (New Orleans) BUs, which were considered prime rarities until the last Treasury releases of BU bags. Our Brilliant Uncirculated quality has nice original luster and no sign of wear (some bags marks are present, as is normal).
Diameter 38.1mm, Weight 26.73 grams, Composition .900 silver
