The Peace silver dollar was the last struck to circulate in American commerce, in the age of “a hard-earned dollar.” Struck after World War I, it was dedicated to world peace – “PEACE” is inscribed below the vigilant American Eagle. U.S. silver dollar mintages declined drastically in the mid-1920s from their peak 1921 and 1922 productions. In 1925, the Philadelphia Mint issued just 10.2 million — its lowest annual silver dollar production of the decade up to that point. Clearly detailed Very Fine quality.
