U.S. Peace Silver Dollar 1934-D Brilliant Uncirculated |
|
Six years after Congress suspended the series, with the nation in the depths of the Depression, the Silver Purchase Act of 1934 required the Treasury to buy silver bullion and again mint silver dollars. A relatively small production resulted in 1934 and that year’s Denver Mint production proved to be the last of just five Denver Mint issues in the series. It’s the second scarcest D-mintmark Peace dollar with fewer than 8% of the original mintage estimated to exist today in our Brilliant Uncirculated quality
