U.S. Quarter 1831-1916 Type Set Fine |
William Kneass created this unique 1831-1838 "Small Capped Liberty Bust," which contrasts with the earlier "Capped Bust" quarter of John Reich. This type also does not carry the "E PLURIBUS UNUM" of the earlier Reich quarter, but instead fills the reverse's space with a larger eagle. The 1866-1891 "Seated Liberty/Motto" quarter bears "IN GOD WE TRUST" above the reverse's eagle. The 1892-1916 "Liberty Head" quarter carried a new Presidential Seal reverse perfected with great care over a period of years by the U.S. Mint's Chief Engraver Charles Barber. All come in reasonably well-preserved Fine quality. Our choice of dates.
