It is rendered as a mirror image of the original in honor of the reverse style of writing he often used. His name, in French, and his date of birth in Roman numerals, are also shown. The reverse displays Leonardo’s famous Vitruvian Man drawing, a work showing his fascination with proportion and man’s relation to nature.
