In the heyday of the dime store, the Liberty Head dime was a real workhorse in U.S. commerce and of course, there were never enough to go around. Many issues were worn out of collectible condition or later melted after recall. Just a tiny fraction survive now in Good or better quality. Currently, in just one year the U.S. Mint issues many more times the number of dimes than in the entire 25-year span of the Liberty Head series! The engraving on these 90% silver coins was designed by Charles E. Barber and is regarded as one of the most perfect classical designs. It was also the last design to appear on three separate denominations. Our set includes ten different issues in Good quality and a free folder.
