  Once-Rare MS-64 Morgan Dollars
In the early 1960’s, the 1898-O and 1904-O issues were considered among the rarest mint-state Morgan silver dollars. When one could be found, average mint-state quality commanded $400 in pre-inflation dollars (over $2,000 in today’s dollars).
But the final U.S. Treasury releases of Morgan dollar bags turned up a good quantity of these historic New Orleans Mint issues in original Brilliant Uncirculated quality. Just a fair number boasted the kind of spectacularly dazzling luster and virtually blemish-free surfaces that today qualify for “near-gem” MS-64 grading.
Silver dollars of this connoisseur grading were generally among the first struck by fresh dies. They have a museum-quality splendor that makes them highly prized by collectors.
In this special offer, we’re giving you sale prices on the 1898-O and 1904-O Morgan dollars in guaranteed MS-64 quality. Each coin comes in a transparent protective “slab” with grade certification by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation or Professional Coin Grading Service.
Our regular prices are $115-$125, but while very limited supplies last, you pay only $99 each or $195 for the pair.
