This stunning set includes every date and mint issue in the popular series, all in uniform Brilliant Uncirculated quality. The toughest BU finds are the 1949 no-mintmark Philadelphia, 1949-D Denver, 1949-S San Francisco and 1952-S issues. BU 1948, 1950, 1950-D, 1951-S, 1953 and 1953-S Franklins are also passing from view. A comparable 1916-1947 "Walking Liberty" U.S. silver half dollar all-BU collection would be vastly more costly. | I was disappointed in the poor quality of the coin mountings in the case for the set. It is very haphazard in the placement and is random in the manner Franklin positions in the frame, which had loose screws. |
