U.S. 1996 Silver Eagle Uncirculated
The largest silver dollar in American history was introduced in 1986, recreating the famous 1916 "Walking Liberty" half dollar design regarded as the finest American silver coin engraving. On the reverse is the Presidential Seal, with an eagle holding a peace branch and arrows of preparedness below 13 stars representing the original states. The key 1996 Brilliant Uncirculated issue had the lowest mintage of any in the ongoing series, less than one third of the highest production of 1987.
