Only five issues were struck by the San Francisco Mint in this series, including some of the lowest mintages. Our set contains the 1949-S issue (the toughest find — only 3.7 million were struck for circulation). Plus you’ll receive the 1951-S, 1952-S, 1953-S and 1954-S Franklins. Although the series continued through 1963, no other S-Mint issues were struck. So a complete S-mintmark set is comparatively affordable. The mintmark appears above the Liberty Bell on the reverse side. Nicely detailed Very Fine quality.
