Canada "Death Totem" 1958 Silver Dollar BU. Although this impressive silver dollar was struck for the centennial of British Columbia's "birth," its totem was an Indian "death" image! The coin's designer inadvertently chose a raven totem for the reverse engraving and some tribesman objected to the "death dollar." A young Queen Elizabeth II graces the obverse of this Brilliant Uncirculated silver coin.
Canada 1960-1966 "Canoe" Silver Dollar BU. These 1960-1966 issues were the last struck for commerce with the famous canoe engraving that originated Canada's silver dollar series in 1935. Shown are a fur trader and his Indian guide with the Northern lights flashing in the background. Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse. Brilliant Uncirculated. Our choice of date.
