U.S. 1992 “First in the Series” Silver 5-Coin Proof Set. In 1992 the U.S. Mint issued special silver proof sets reviving the tradition of 90% silver dimes, quarters and half dollars. This inaugural set in the series had a production of 1,009,586, far below the regular set’s 2.6 million. Struck by the San Francisco Mint with finest-quality, double-struck engravings.
U.S. 1995 “Lowest Mintage” Silver 5-Coin Proof Set. This 1995 special silver set, with 90% silver half dollar, quarter and dime had mintages of just 549,878. That’s the lowest production for the recent silver proof set series. And it’s only about one-quarter of the output of the regular proof set for that year. Finest quality proof minting with crisp, double-struck engravings and dazzling mirror backgrounds.
