Morgan silver dollars struck by the New Orleans Mint are generally regarded as “best buys” in the series. Here are three Very Fine quality issues from the twilight years of the facility that are even better acquisitions at our sale prices. The 1899-O Morgan is the most affordable VF for its date. A Philadelphia issue in the same grade would cost over ten times as much. The 1900-O issue is also appreciably scarcer than the 1900 Philadelphia Morgan, yet in this sale offer it costs you less. Forty years ago the 1904-O issue was one of the key rarities in the series. Only a few thousand were known to exist in any condition.
