Vintage 1883 Morgan Silver Dollar Pair
Save 23% on their 125th anniversary -- Includes the no-mintmark Philadelphia and O-mintmark New Orleans issues in nicely detailed Very Fine quality
Save $21 on this historic duo of Morgan silver dollars, issued in the year Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show originated. These 1883 Philadelphia and 1883-O New Orleans issues are much scarcer than some Morgan dollars of the period. Both come in clearly detailed Very Fine quality and saw comparatively light circulation at a time when one Morgan dollar was a long day’s pay for many Americans. It was the year Mark Twain’s Life on the Mississippi emerged, the first important manuscript prepared on a typewriter. Also in 1883 construction of the Brooklyn Bridge neared completion and the Pacific volcano Krakatoa exploded, creating bright red sunsets in America for a year! Individually, $90.
